General Information
- The MTA covers a total area of approx. 1,00 ha
- The MTA unfolds at an altitude between 1,292 m and 2,400 m asl
- The MTA includes an international certified Biathlon track
- The MTA consistsof alpine pastures, pineforests, meadows above the treeline and a rocky region
- Most of the MTA is snow-covered from november to may, however snowfalls can also happen in summer
- The MTA is mainly used by infantry up to a strength of one battalion
- The firing ranges and the target areas for indirect fire are located mostly above the treeline

Rules and Regulations
All troops have to follow the rules and regulations of the military training area!
Due to the fact that rules and regulations are available in german language only, non german-speaking troops have to be accompanied by an interpreter to ensure that there are no misunderstandings, especially concerning the safety regulations for live firing.
