The exercise series CAPRICORN has established itself as a "landmark project" within the P&S MTI and was conducted as an exercise with international participation by the 6th Infantry Brigade for the first time in 2016.

Further exercises were planned for 2018 and 2019 and will be conducted, again with international participation, by the Mountain Warfare Command.

The exercise series CAPRICORN is highly appreciated by our international partners, since it is the only series of exercises that deals with the segment "troop training in mountain warfare“ and since the Austrian military training areas in the high mountains are particularly suited to the task.

Moreover, the participating nations are able to profit from the international exchange of experiences in mountain warfare and further to develop their respective capabilities.
