The 4 th PCM and Annual Conference on “EU Pooling & Sharing / Mountain Training Initiative” is taking place in December this year.
Since the start of the Initiative in 2013, the conference will be led by a new chairman, who will again be an Austrian. With the Czech Republc becoming a new MTI member, we will for the first time be able to welcome 10 member states. Besides that, the “NATO Mountain Warfare Center of Excellence“ (NATO MW COE) and the “NATO Center of Excellence Cold Weather Operations” (NATO COE CWO) will again take part as permanent guests, which expresses the good cooperation between the mountain troops.
Nations still have the possibility to take part in this conference as a “guest nation”, an opportunity mostly used by 2 to 5 countries. Guest nations are offered the possibility to contribute to the work of the syndicates, to get into contact with other nations and to apply for becoming an MTI member state.
