LFX JFS ALPINE DEFENSE 2021

LFX JFS 21 will be a national Joint Fire Support exercise of the Austrian Armed Forces conducted by its Joint Forces in mountainous terrain at the Mountain Training Area HOCHFILZEN in September/October 2021 with international participation of Joint Fire Support Teams.

The Life Firing Exercise JFS will be based on combat operations in alpine terrain and focuses on fire support elements from air and ground.

AIM OF LFX JFS 21

The LFX JFS 21 involves a fictitious scenario allowing for fire support operations at Combined Joint Operations Level in a demanding mountain environment. The Exercise will be based on combat operations in alpine terrain and focuses on fire support elements from air and ground.
Forward Observer- and JTAC-elements will be the Main Training Audience (MTA) from the P&S MTI participants. Additional Observers are welcome to participate.
The Exercise Objective is to enhance the capabilities and the interoperability of/with EU Forces in Joint Fire Support especially in Mountain Warfare Operations.
