RHODOPE 23

RHODOPE 23 will be a combined training exercise (CTE), executed at the tactical level with up to tree alpine companies under battalion command.It will practice C2 and TLP’s of the PTA (Primary Training Audience) at company level within a scenario relevant to mountain warfare.

LFX JFS 21 will be a national Joint Fire Support exercise of the Austrian Armed Forces conducted by its Joint Forces in mountainous terrain at the Mountain Training Area HOCHFILZEN in September/October 2021 with international participation of Joint Fire Support Teams.

RHODOPE 2021

EU Pooling & Sharing Mountain Training Initiative with Coordination of BGR LF HQ will lead the MCJTE RHODOPE 21 in March 2021.
This will be the second step of the training for countries’ units IOT to enhance their capabilities and to be prepared for the main Exercise European Mountain Phalanx 22 (EMP 22) in Austria.

AUSTRIAN MILITARY SPORTS CLIMBING CHAMPIONSHIP 2019

The Austrian Military Sports Climbing Championship 2019 was hosted by the PROVINCIAL MILITARY COMMAND OF CARINTHIA from 13 11 19 – 15 11 19. Foreign nations/partners in the MTI-Community and members of the EBVE are kindly invited.

EDELWEISS RAID 2019

The ultimate challenge for mountain infantry takes place from 27th - 28th February 2019 in the “TUXERALPEN” in TYROL. This high alpine race extended over a distance of 40km,covering 4000 meters of elevation gain.

The Austrian Military Sports Climbing Championship 2018 was hosted by the PROVINCIAL MILITARY COMMAND OF STYRIA from 14 11 18 – 16 11 18 in Mitterdorf/Styria as a part of the P&S Mountain Training Initiative.

CAPRICORN 2018

From 05 to 16 March 2018, the Mountain Warfare Command will conduct the training programme CAPRICORN 2018 at the military training area Hochfilzen, with the focus on training at the platoon level.

From 19 – 20 October 2017, the BEL Commando Training Center organizes the NCD Lead Climbing 2017 in climbing hall ‘KLIMAX’ in PUURS. 

EDELWEISS RAID 2017

From March 15 to 16, 2017 the Edelweiss Raid will take place in the Tux Alps for the 8th time in 2017. This mountain combat competition is very popular and is organizd by Kommando Gebirgskampf.

CAPRICORN 2016
